Game 50 of 82: Utah Jazz at Phoenix Suns (17-33)

halftime

Post-Game Quotage
** Quin Snyder, post-game
[Marcus Morris] hurt us with clean looks, and some really, really tough shots…But we, you know, you can withstand that to a degree if we’re not giving them the other easy stuff. And the two things combined, you know, other than that, we, you know, we played solid the second half…It’s tough to defend against turnovers, is the bottom line. And then they’re kicking it out, and you know, they’re not afraid to shoot the ball early in the clock, and they shouldn’t be. I mean, you got a guy that’s hitting shots like that, and you know, their whole team hit shots. Fourteen of 27 from three — you know, you gotta play really good basketball to withstand a run like that.

horny secret smileThis is the exact same secret smile Horny gave Hayward one year minus three weeks ago (see the “For the Conspiracy Theorists, Paranoid, Insecure, etc.” section).

** Gordon Hayward, post-game
[Marcus Morris] got hot, and you know, I think some of it was on us…And then we turned the ball over, and they got going, and the momentum kinda shifted. So, I think that’s part of us being a little young.
** Hayward on tomorrow’s game against the Kings
It’ll be fun to see coach Ty[rone Corbin] back…He was with the organization for so long, and with me pretty much all the way up until, you know, they, when he left, so. It’ll be cool to see him.

rudy white shoesThings that can be seen from space: the blinding whiteness of Rudy Gobert’s giant size 20 Nikes against his navy uni and black socks.

** Matt Harpring on Phoenix weather: This is the best time in Phoenix…to come. (H/T @its_computers)
** Craig Bolerjack: Trey from behind. Back out front, slip and slide. Nice job, Favors.

Remember when the Jazz team had to wear the same color shoe. I remember the majority wanting to switched to black for road uniforms but they had to wait for Greg Ostertag to conform.
