Utah Jazz vs. Boston Celtics: Opponent Game Thread Highlights

Today’s Opponent Game Thread host: Celtics Blog.

Everyone says the Jazz have such great young players in Heywood, Favors, Exum, Gobert, and Kanter. They play all their young guys a lot and still lose. What I hope the C’s will do the second half, start and play all the young guys thirty minutes.

They are a really entertaining team. I’m really impressed with how Gobert has improved. He has real talent plus the wingspan of an albatross.

GODZELLER IS A WAY BETTER NICKNAME THAN GOBZILLA
by omitasub on Jan 26, 2015 | 9:29 PM

The Jazz seem to suffer from a similar problem. They have too much depth. Too much “evenness” and a lack of truly top end talent.
by GaroppolosClipboard on Jan 26, 2015 | 9:33 PM

i was just thinking that
They are a mirror image of us.

by LA CelticsFan on Jan 26, 2015 | 9:35 PM

C’s bench is …………….endless
We can have 3 guys out with injuries and still have 10 guys who are just as good put a beatin’ on ya….

by tstorey1 on Jan 26, 2015 | 9:34 PM

That’s because the entire team is one big bench.
by Rattling Bones on Jan 26, 2015 | 9:38 PM

Bass and Prince are true professionals that can lead a young team to some quality wins.
They better knock it off.

by Rattling Bones on Jan 26, 2015 | 9:51 PM

I’ve never ever seen Bass’ midrange jumper get blocked. Gobert is freakishly long
by binuyaka on Jan 26, 2015 | 10:01 PM

Gobzilla!

Enes Kanter
I wonder if Utah would take Olynyk and a pick for Kanter

by Tradetime on Jan 26, 2015 | 10:19 PM

by GreenCeltics on Jan 26, 2015 | 10:35 PM

looks like we forgot how to basketball.
by omitasub on Jan 26, 2015 | 10:35 PM

I’m beginning to think Brad Stevens is a terrible NBA coach
This stuff of blowing huge leads, coming out with zero intensity, has happened way too much under his watch. Unless he’s actively trying to tank games, he bears a huge brunt of this. The guys just dont respect him enough to play hard for the entire game.

by Toll Booth Willie on Jan 26, 2015 | 10:46 PM

Lakers going hard for the tank
Kobe to have surgery out for the season

by Tom Sisco on Jan 26, 2015 | 10:54 PM

Team is 15 points better per 100 possessions when Kobe sits
by PickNRoll3332 on Jan 26, 2015 | 10:55 PM

QUIT LEAVING BURKE OPEN!
by Scuba Bleeds Green on Jan 26, 2015 | 11:04 PM

Did this team ever read the scouting report on Hayward that he’s notorious at chase down blocks?
by binuyaka on Jan 26, 2015 | 11:11 PM

This ain’t getting any ping-pong balls.
by Rattling Bones on Jan 26, 2015 | 11:11 PM

The boys are coming home with another win
by Tom Sisco on Jan 26, 2015 | 11:15 PM

is it me
Or is Brad Stevens blossoming as a coach?

by LA CelticsFan on Jan 26, 2015 | 11:15 PM

We keep winning losable games.
What’s up with that? :)

by CelticPride on Jan 26, 2015 | 11:17 PM

So, not to get ahead of ourselves, but
If they beat the timberpups, they will go four and two on a west Coast road trip. The last time that happened was…?

by Sophomore on Jan 26, 2015 | 11:26 PM

…when the shorts were 7 inches shorter
