Game 47 of 82: Utah Jazz at Los Angeles Clippers (16-31)

February 2, 2014

Franchise record for 3-point field goals attempted. I think that’s what you call a moral victory!

** Tyrone Corbin on the loss
Well, I thought they showed their experience on us a little bit. You know, they’ve played a lot of games. We played a back-to-back. But you know, when it got tight there in that third quarter, I thought they executed better than we did.
** Corbin on the Jazz setting a new 3PA record
I thought early on, with the way they rotated, we took the right shots and they were, ended up being 3-point shots…I don’t think we took bad shots. It’s just, we happened, they, the shot that came was at the 3-point line.
** Corbin on missing Derrick Favors
I thought Rudy [Gobert] did a good job. And Enes [Kanter] was fighting some. He just, he was a little hesitant to get his fourth foul there for awhile, and they got some plays at the basket.
** Enes Kanter on what frustrated him the most about this game
Just losing.

Random Stuff, etc.
** People calling Rudy Gobert’s wingspan his “wingspread”: Craig Bolerjack
** People calling Barack Obama “Coach Obama”: Matt Harpring

Unintentional Dirty Quote Machines of the Night (UDQM)
** Matt Harpring: This Clipper team, they wanna get out, they wanna leak out. (H/T @5kl)
** Harpring: And that ball has got to be in Jefferson’s hand, like, ASAP.
** Harpring: I think RJ can get even deeper against Redick. I don’t think Redick has the strength to keep out RJ.
** Harpring: Redick struggles against length. You put a lengthy defender on him, he really has trouble getting his shot off. And when you try to guard him just by an average-sized guy, he can really fill it up.
** Boler on his flip phone: Takes a licking, keeps on ticking.
** Harpring: Good move by Marvin to finish, but it’s four out, one in. Very hard.
** Boler: Hayward dances between his legs on Blake.
