Game 16 Jazz at Hornets: SLUT beats NOLA
November 29, 2012
Jazz games have been following the same tired old script for far too long. First unit comes out slow, second unit gets the Jazz back in the game, first unit comes in again slow, second unit gets the Jazz back in the game, Big Al steps up big down the stretch, Jazz pull out a win.
On the bright side, 41-0 at home remains a possibility while our road win percentage has skyrocketed from .222 to a much sexier .300. Woohoo.
OUCH.
Gordon Hayward, post-game: I heard it. I heard it from all the way down on the bench.
Before this, a cutting Marvin Williams had this awesome throwdown:
…
I don’t know what else to say.

I’d say this: Millsap has returned.
When Marvin and Hayward play well we’re gazillions times better. They just have to be consistent.
Ty had the balls to let Hayward in the game instead of putting Foye back late in the 4th when Hayward was playing well.
Boy, do the Hornets suck?
That’s just it. The Hornets are not that great of a team and missing two starters, so I would’ve liked to see this win come easier.
Re Millsap, I think the media made a little too much of his “slump.” Everyone has a few bad games now and then, especially if they’re taking on a new role. Millsap was going to bounce back though; that’s what he does.
