Thanks to the incredibly wonderful @da_breezman for the video.

The above may have happened before tip-off, but the night was pretty much over after that.

Seriously, what more could you need? (Along those lines, I doubt anyone still wants a gif now that video is available, but in case someone still does, here it is.)

…Josh Howard had a huge putback dunk…Raja Bell got on the court for the first time in ages…Jeremy Evans’ parade of hammer dunks interrupted only by flying blocks…

Jeremy, post-game: After that, the referee told me [(s)he is] not really a big fan of the staredown, so probably won’t happen too much more. (1)

…and at the end of the [very close] game, Ty’s girl Vi does a solid for her man and pretends she didn’t see no Blake Ahearn fouling Wesley Matthews.

Game over. Jazz win. 36-30 on the season.

P.S. Frick, why does Jeremy only get minutes against Portland, a.k.a. stealer of our babies?! He’s only gotten to take off his warmups four times in the last month. Two times were against Portland, the other two times against the Spurs.

P.P.S. Rant time: Since the Jazz played the Spurs on Apr. 9, everyone on KFAN and Root Sports has been, in annoyingly self-righteous, preachy voices, bashing Gregg Popovich for resting the Big 3. If it had been confined to just the day of the game and maybe the day after, fine. But it has not ended. They have called it a “disgrace”; a “travesty”; “the height of arrogance”; an “insult.” Randy Rigby said he was thinking about writing a letter to the League office to complain about it and talked about how fans that paid good money for tickets didn’t deserve such treatment.

Both the broadcast crew and studio crew were still going on about this early on in the game. Then, when it became apparent that Paul Millsap wasn’t going to play, they suddenly shut up and started talking about how resting vets is a smart move before the Playoffs.

I’d love for someone to interview all KFAN and Root personnel and ask whether they feel it was a disgrace/travesty/the height of arrogance/insult for Tyrone Corbin to rest Millsap. I’d also like to know whether Rigby will be writing a letter to the league office on behalf of the Jazz fans that bought tickets to watch Millsap play.

Unintentional Dirty Quote Machines of the Night (UDQM)
** Corbin, on the night of the PHX game: I slept good that night, though. I slept hard. It was a good nap. You get up the next morning and you’re back at it. (DN)
** Boler on Wesley Matthews: Right to left hand he comes.
** Boler on the play that preceded Josh Howard’s technical: Only saw the tail end of it.
** Steve Brown to Al on the Playoffs, post-game: Felt like it’d never come…tonight, the guys did it in front of you.
** Al, in response: It was just good to see them go out there and do it with their confidence up.
** Phil Johnson on John Stockton: He had huge hands, such body control, and he’d just lay it right in. (H/T @dianaallen)

Lol, I only got the second half, I can’t believe they actually praised Ty for resting Millsap after all they said about Pop. But, hell, who cares? It’s playoff time, baby!! :-D

This was my favorite recap ever. Enes, TiVi, and moni echoing my exact thoughts on the Big 3 situation. Top it off with a *drops mic* and my life is now complete.
