Game 52 vs. SAC: Nothing To Write Home About
Trying to think of something to write about this game. I *literally* can’t think of anything. The only thing we learned continued to have reaffirmed is that if teams go to the zone, the Jazz are dead.
Quotage
** Tyrone Corbin post-game:
Q: Why did Watson finish out the game?
Corbin: I thought he was going good. Thought he was going good.
Q: Do you like the matchup with Isiah Thomas better with Watson?
Corbin: Thought he was going good.
Q: Same thing with Alec Burks?
Corbin: Yeah, thought Alec was going good. I thought he was giving us some energy. It didn’t work.
Q: At what point did you decide to go with Watson?
Corbin: Was no point. It’s just he was going good. (2)
** Gordon Hayward on the elbow that broke DeMarcus Cousin’s face: His face kinda got in the way. (1)
Unintentional Dirty Quote Machines of the Night (UDQM)
** Harpring on Cousins: It’s his head that gets in the way sometimes.
** Boler: Derrick Favors, so strong, so long.
** Harpring: You see Hayward trying to leak out a little bit early. Too early.
** Harpring: You gotta be a man down there. (H/T @SurlyMae)
** Boler: Kanter comes out.
** Harpring on Favors: You gotta keep playing. Gotta keep attacking. It’ll go in eventually.
** Harpring on Cousins: His “potential” can be so…big.
(That one may or may not be me editorializing.)
** (H/T @edwin_nba and @Mac_Jazz):
** Favors on Al: The way he does it makes you think you can do it, but it’s not as easy as he makes it look. (SI article mentioned above)
** And the best one of all…
Our guys play hard for the most part and still let the other team be the aggressor. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a thing before. Twice they played hard for the most part and still let the other team bully a win out. :/
Isiah Thomas was kicking their butt and laughing. How can they live with themselves letting that happen? I’m so frustrated right now…
