vs. NOH: Opponent Game Thread Highlights

Today’s Opponent Game Thread host: At the Hive.

From the game preview:

Utah drafted Deron Williams #3 overall in the 2005 NBA draft, mistakenly believing his size would give him the advantage over Chris Paul; New Orleans, of course, took Paul at #4, and CP3 went on to be the better player, forging a Hall of Fame path in his six years with the Hornets. But Utah consistently surrounded Williams with superior (and healthier) players, and it led to Williams’ Jazz routinely dominating Paul’s Hornets.

Game thread highlights:

I’m a Hayward fan Utah has some good pieces but they’ve looked bad for most of this year so far. Can’t help but think if Monty had that team’s talent, they’d be above .500.

Alec Burks looks like he’s going to be a superstar. If he can apply defense to his game.

Aminu Once he learns to dribble, he could be a pretty solid forward.
