Draft Workout Odds and Ends, Edition #3

June 16, 2011

aka UDQM and Zing Odds and Ends.

Let me preface this by saying that I’ve never had much interest in college hoops, and I’ve never seen Jimmer (or any of the other prospects) play. So Jimmermania doesn’t resonate with me, and I was more entertained today by:

1) KOC’s shorts and Jimmer’s tights (I don’t know why I found them funny. I just did).

2) The array of high, high quality Unintentional Dirty Quote Machine (UDQM) tweets sent out by Jazz beat writers today. My favorite ones:

Jimmer also threw out “I’m glad you guys came” to the media and, regarding Kemba Walker, “It was good. We were going at each other.”

A couple of the Jazz beat writers–the Examiner’s Jim Burton in particular–had some great lines about Jimmermania:

As Dr. Sheldon Cooper would say, Bazinga!

So, there you have it. My useless recap of the day.

Hardly useless – the most entertaning Jazz blog out there. Thank you for giving me something great to read, as always.

I tried not to love the Jimmer… but I eventually gave in to the madness. He is worth the hype, not sure he’s a good fit for the Jazz. Most poles have him going to the Suns and I think he is a great fit for their program, a good replacement for Nash.

I met him at the airport on my way to AK. He was very nice, and not that it matters but he is better looking in person. Most importantly he only “chews his cud” on the court.

Why were you on your way to see AK? ;) (my one-track mind probably won’t stop going until he’s under Jazz contract again)
