Game 75 vs. WAS: …last wheel falling off the bus…
One. Watching Jazz games is like watching a foreign film…with no subtitles…starring some random Burlesque guys. I have no idea what’s going on or what genre it is. I can’t tell if there’s a plot. Is it a comedy? Is it farce? Is this supposed to be serious? I can’t understand how this team is so bad.
Two. When Big Al came to Utah, he said he was excited for three reasons: 1) Jerry; 2) Deron; 3) the fans. He’s already lost the first two. Thanks largely to the work of one Jazz beat writer in particular, it seems he’s on his way to losing the third as well.
I’ve been complaining for a while now about how Jazz fans always need someone to hate. After tonight, Al has officially replaced Raja as the scapegoat. For the record, I don’t have a problem with him not talking to the media after a couple of straight losses. I especially don’t have a problem with him not talking to the media if he’s read or heard the unobjective things that the media (again, one person in particular) has written about him in recent days.
Three. Derrick Favors is the future. That is all.
Four. Ty Corbin said yesterday that he would not “go young with the first unit or make a drastic overhaul because he does not want his team to think that he has surrendered the season.” (trib)
In the fourth quarter and overtime today, I thought to myself that I would think he had given up if he brought the vets back in. After the game, Ty said that he would be reassessing the rotations in light of how the young guys played. Guess we should get used to this kind of not-stability. (Yes I know there is such a word as “instability” but I don’t think we’re unstable. We’re just not stable, if that makes sense.)
Five. The Jazz lost to the Wizards, who had won only one road game so far this season. Come the F on. Also, 10-21 FT shooting? Come the F on.
Six. Spur-of-the-moment sixth thing: I miss Jerry, Phil, and Larry so, so much.

** Boler: One of his many sweet spots as he tries to bang against Yi.
** Boler: Oh baby, in and out!
** Boler: Millsap. Wide open. Couldn’t hit it.
** Boler: Ty Corbin: He’s going young. He’s going fast. He’s going long.
