Game 72 @OKC: .500

March 24, 2011

Late in the game, I found myself wondering how the game was close and even tied when all it seemed like the Jazz were doing was missing shots and throwing the ball away. Of course, this was not to last (the first part, about the game being close; not the second part about missing shots and turnovers).

All things considered, it’s absolutely surprising the game wasn’t a blowout. By “all things,” I mean:

1) Earl and Ronnie P combining for 2 assists total;
2) CJ and Gordon combining for 3-22 shooting on the night;
3) Losing AK to knee nerve distress in the 2nd quarter after he dove on the floor for a steal. Per LOJ, Durant was 0-2 tonight when guarded by AK and 7-10 when guarded by other guys.

Just to clarify: I don’t want anyone to misconstrue what I said above about it being a close game as me looking for bright spots or anything. Losing sucks balls.

Unintentional Dirty Quote Machines of the Night
** The Utah Jazz Blog:

** Boler: Oh, that’s a big one! Matty: That’s a big one from Raja Bell.
** Boler on AK: He banged his knee on the wood.
** Boler on Matty: This guy has an unlimited appetite.
** Boler: Harden, over the back hard of Gordon Hayward.
** Matty: There are many four-letter words in the English language, and the worst one you can be called is soft. Boler: S-O-F-T. Matty: You never want to be called soft.

Guess yellow ties are to Ty what purple ties are were (sob) to Jerry.
