Preseason Game 3 of 7 @PHX

October 13, 2010

First Half:
Deron and CJ chucked without much success. OJ and AJ combined for 18 points on 7-12, 4 rebounds and 2 assists in the first quarter. Sap was saddled by foul trouble (3 in first 5:40). Andrei came in for him, and ended up bleeding all over the floor. The second quarter seemed to be a mess of missed FGs on both sides. Fes came in and was solid, and Raja* hit a big 3. At the half, all the starters had negative +/- and all the subs had positive +/-. Leading the way: Raja, Fes, and Ronnie P (5 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists) with +12s.

*Very classy on the part of Suns fans to greet Raja with a big ovation. As much as it hurts me to say this, Jazz fans should take note.

Fes got called for a technical for the second straight game in the second quarter. Seeing the video, he started to react, stopped himself, walked away, and got hit with a tech anyway:

Fes technical

Wonderful work, Mr. Stern. Just great. (Incidentally, I’m not purposefully only gif’ing Fes. It’s just turned out that way. I guess that makes Fes the most giffable player on the team.)

Second Half:
CJ came out strong in the third, scoring eight straight points and getting steals as well. Deron hit his first FG with 59 seconds left in the 3rd. And then Jeremy Evans came in the last few minutes and destroyed the game :) Jumping jack flash!

Today’s Unintentional Dirty Quote Machine:
David Locke, talking about Deron and Wesley in the last game: “They got into each other and it was on!”

3-0. Next up: vs PHX in 2 days. It’s going to be a televised affair. You know what that means, boys and girls? We’re finally going to be able to see Jeremy Evans jumping over people to get rebounds! Yippee!
