Game 62 vs. LAC: Okurrence
The Jazz have some bad habits they really need to break. Per BBJ, the Jazz have started out slow in 10 of their last 15 games. Tonight was another one of those nights. Fortunately, the slow start didn’t last as long as last night (or the night before, or the night before), and a hot start in the third quarter kept the Clips at bay the rest of the way.
It was all about (–bad band name alert–) Moneyman and the Rookies tonight. Memo was 11-17 from the floor, including 3-4 from downtown and a huge hammer dunk off the one missed 3, and also added 7 boards, 3 steals, and 2 blocks. For the second game in a row, Jerry opted to go with Sundiata at the backup point in the second half, and I for one love the switch. He runs the offense well, and plays tough, scrappy D. OMSW also came through with some big baskets, and the lead was big enough that Othyus Jeffers (and the Koof) were able to check in with 2:20 left. Sap immediately stole the ball, and Yatta passed to OJ for his first NBA bucket. Now that was something to smile about.
