Mid-Game 51 Note (Updated)
I will forever look down on any Jazz player that talks post-game about how late they got back to SLC last night. If anyone thinks that that is some sort of justification for the suckswamp that is killing my eyes, you should be ashamed.
Shame on you Boozer for being that guy.
Also, way to go Phil Johnson for lighting into the Jazzmen after the game. You never hear that from Phil, and he sounded completely disgusted–as disgusted as I am feeling. After Jerry pointed out that the guys had gotten home early enough to get eight hours of sleep, Phil said:
They had all day to rest, they’re acting like they’re tired, and that’s ridiculous because we haven’t played a whole bunch of games recently. We’ve been at home, had one back-to-back, and they didn’t come out with any energy tonight. We had [three] guys with energy as far as I’m concerned…we had Ronnie Price, Wes Matthews, and Andrei Kirilenko. The rest of them, to me, had no energy, weren’t ready to play basketball.
SO well said.
