It’s Time to Panic
“It still don’t feel right,” said Millsap, who bruised the knee when he knocked it against one of teammate Kyle Korver’s in a win over Detroit last Saturday and did not play in Monday’s home win over Indiana as a result. “I feel like it’s not getting (any) better, so I’m going to get it checked out today. “I hope it’s just a (bruise), just taking a little bit of time to heal.” (source)
This is exactly how Boozer’s injury started. Jazz fans, it’s officially time to panic.
Sap just had his first MRI. One down, two to…
Oh wait, he’s not Boozer. But still, it still might be time to panique.
(I can’t find Boozer’s quotes right now since it’s old news, don’t know if I’ll keep looking. But it’s almost word for word.)
MILLSAP OUT: Millsap indicated he also doesn’t expect to play when the Jazz visit Dallas tonight.
I’m starting to get a really bad feeling about this. Read the Sap quote above again (or just continue reading because I’m going to copy and paste):
“It still don’t feel right. I feel like it’s not getting (any) better, so I’m going to get it checked out today. I hope it’s just a (bruise), just taking a little bit of time to heal.”
Now, I give you this quote:
“It just hasn’t healed yet. It hasn’t got to the point where it’s feeling good yet, so I’m just making sure nothing else is going on in there…It just hasn’t got to the point where I feel like, ‘Oh, it’s better.’ I don’t know if it’s ever going to get to that point. I don’t know. It just hurts.”
That was a quote from Harpring after he had a second MRI at the end of December. And we all know he is not back to “himself” yet (whatever that means to each one of us).
So…maybe I’m paranoid…maybe athletes all say the same stuff to describe injuries…maybe my gut instinct is right…I guess we’ll find out in the next few days. Unless the next few days turn into the next few weeks. Then we’ll know for sure. Maybe.
