Good Ol’ Karl and Other Off-Day Odds and Ends

From USA Today:
Malone, the grand marshal for tonight’s race at Texas Motor Speedway, approached Patrick before the meeting and asked for a picture. As the two tried to figure out the best way to get in the same shot — Malone is 6-9 and Patrick is listed at 5-2 (though probably shorter) — Patrick hopped up on a nearby chair.
But when they were still having trouble with the height difference, Malone suddenly took Patrick off her feet and cradled her as the rest of the drivers laughed.

Two. Which is more important: $1 million more money or 15 more wins?
Gordon Hayward: The winning is more important for me. You know, I think the money will be there, but I think something that a lot of people don’t realize is when you are winning more games and you know, have the opportunity to win the title, that’s really where the money’s supposed to come in, and so, I mean, you can be greedy about the money and your contract and stuff, but I mean, the more you win, the more you’re put in the spotlight and you know, the more opportunities you’ll get. So in the end, it’ll balance itself out anyways. (1280)
Three. Has anyone else fallen prey to the evil time-sucker that is Candy Crush Saga? Every time I play, it cracks me up to see who else has:
Four. If the Jazz perform well in the Playoffs, will that affect the Jazz’s offseason plans?
Kevin O’Connor: Yeah. I mean, sure. We can, I can walk around that question, and say, “Well gee, I’m not sure. You know, we’ll evaluate” and everything. But the answer is yes. (1280)
