Game 69 Jazz at Spurs: Not unexpected
Well, at least the Jazz didn’t just bend over and take it, which is a vast improvement. Moral victory. (I never used to believe in moral victories. This season has changed me.)
The good:

The sad:

The fantastic:

And reaction of the night (notice how Enes Kanter is jumping up and down with upraised arms before Marvin Williams even shoots the ball):

Notes:
** The Jazz have now lost eight straight road games and 11 of their last 12 on the road.
** The Jazz are again below .500 on the season.
Quotage
** Tyrone Corbin, post-game: You get tired of, sick and tired of being sick and tired…This kind of effort will give you a chance any night on any floor.
** Corbin on Derrick Favors: He did a great job clogging up the middle…He did a great job coming across early and making plays on the ball.
** Corbin on Alec Burks: He, you know, he’s a young guy that’s continuing to get better. The more and more experience he get on the floor, the better he been to play, and it don’t matter which position.
** Al Jefferson, post-game: I think for the first time in a long time, the energy, the effort was there for all 48 minutes, or 48 minutes-plus. If we continue to play the way we played tonight for the rest of these 12 games, I still think we have a great chance.

Unintentional Dirty Quote Machines of the Night (UDQM)
** Boler: Quickly, Mo is pushing.
** Boler: Instead of popping outside, Foye goes inside.
** Boler: The Jazz are taking care of the big man tonight.
** Boler: De Colo drives on Burks, he can’t penetrate.
** Boler: It was hip-high and it kicked off his hand.

Shameless plug, but only since you also talked moral victories: http://sportsfansnews.com/2013/03/23/morally-victorious-jazz-downed-by-spurs-in-ot-8853

PS: thanks for your .gifs. I always get all excited when your page loads slowly.
“I always get all excited when your page loads slowly.” — words I’m pretty sure have never been said in the history of the world :)
Great recap of the game, by the way. I really like your writing style!
The gif was totally unfair to Kanter! Way before the dunk came, right after Kanter had stolen the ball from Tony Parker I was already out of my chair screaming!
lol…you need to have someone .gif you! I will post it right here!
lol, I’m glad no one did, I was also eating dinner at the moment…
