Game 38 Jazz at Hawks: It’s .500 once more…

Post-Game Quotage
** Tyrone Corbin, on how the Jazz can stop losing leads: There been a lot of times when we had, we’ve, we’ve been down a lot and came back also. So it’s the same thing. You keep fighting. And get smarter.
** Alec Burks has been playing well and only played 7 minutes… Corbin (annoyed and snippy): Did you watch the game? He didn’t have one of his better games…I decided to take him out of the ball game.
** Corbin, on whether some losses are more demoralizing than others: One loss. It’s one loss.

big al

** Al Jefferson: It just sucks, to let them take it away from us.
** Jefferson on Devin Harris: Good game for Devin. Glad to see him back, you know, from his injury. You know, glad to see him have a great game. But it didn’t matter if it was Devin or anybody else. It still sucks right now to just lose a game that we had, that we had control of.
** Jefferson: It just sucks right now.

** Randy Foye: The biggest thing for us, the way we learn from this, is just not let it happen again.
** Foye: I think we did a good job up until that last 17 minutes of the game.
** The loss overshadows really what was a fine performance by yourself… Foye: It don’t matter. If we don’t win, don’t matter what I do. I just want to win. That’s it.

Random Stuff, etc.
** I first noticed when the Timberwolves played the Hawks a few days ago that the Hawks have three generations of Jazz players on their roster: DeShawn Stevenson from the Stockton-to-Malone era; Kyle Korver from the Deron/Boozer era, and Devin Harris from the post-Deron era (and of course, Andrei Kirilenko has the distinction of having played with all three of them on the Jazz).

** Love to hear about teams doing classy stuff like this:

On a related note, also appearing on the Hawks’ jumbotron tonight was…

kiss cam

** Hope the Jazzmen didn’t take the loss too hard, because there was fun to be had after the game! (H/T @5kl)
P.S. You would think they could spell Jamaal Tinsley’s name correctly.
P.P.S. Seriously though, what kind of crowd–if any–does “Utah Jazz Takeover” attract to the club?

Unintentional Dirty Quote Machines of the Night (UDQM)
** Harpring: Just go ahead and let them go into Favors.
** Boler: Johnson breaks away from Millsap.
** Harpring on Millsap: The unorthodox shot, but still the ability to finish.
** Boler: Inside, Josh, tough shot, hook it.
** Boler on Harris: Jazz fans know what he can do. Loves to take it down the middle of the lane.
** Boler: Paul is down on two knees.
** Harpring: Nice job by Tinsley getting position underneath.

Like that gif of Alec Burks putting on a hat the other day, there’s no particular reason for posting this… It’s just because.

say it again. FIRE CORBIN. FIRE CORBIN………………..where was burks? Do these rotations make sense to ANYONE? Does management have a clue? do they even want to win??????? Why is the offense one dimensional.? Why does jefferson not even try on defense? seriously…can someone ask that moron corbin. God…im soon not a fan of this team. I have been for twenty years. But im tired of this. This is amateur hour and clearly the GM hasnt a clue either. Its a crap team and now a crap organization. You can lump them in with the Kings and Suns and Pelicans.

I try to not get annoyed, but 7 minutes isn’t enough time to establish a good or bad game. It simply isn’t. Al has had 0-3, 7 minute stretches a gajillion times in his career. :(

That is so true. I can’t get the crazy double standard. When it’s Al who’s burrying us with awful D against some problematic matchup Ty won’t take him out, but now makes such claims out of 7 minutes of play for Alec? Come on. (I missed the game, though, so I don’t know how badly Alec has played).

Thoughts?
