Game 26 at MEM: Too Big Yo
(Click here if you don’t get the reference. If you’re short on time, skip to the :53 mark.)
Gordon Hayward stepped up big, and the Jazz won. That’s pretty much all there is to it.
More excitement:
** This game marked the first time the Jazz have led at halftime on the road this season. It was also the Jazz’s first road win in a month.
** Raja Bell continues to look as good on the floor as he’s looked in his second stint with the Jazz.
** Worth mentioning: Al Jefferson and Paul Millsap each had four assists to go along with their combined 37 points (17-28), 23 rebounds, and 5 blocks.
** There was a non-garbage time Alec Burks sighting.
Random Stuff, etc.
The Grizzlies were in throwback Memphis Tams (ABA) uniforms for the game complete with cardigan warmups and tam caps. Love the novelty of them for one night.
Unintentional Dirty Quote Machines of the Night (UDQM)
** David Locke:

** ESPN announcer on Rudy Gay and the Grizzlies’ throwback uniforms: He didn’t know the top was going to be a different color than the bottom.
** ESPN announcer on Gasol: He’s pumping his fist as he goes back down.
** ESPN announcer: I can still feel John Stockton on that cross-screen.
** Boler to Al, post-game: You’ve been banging people all year long. (H/T Jazzman87)
** Al, on the road trip: We gotta try to finish on top.
