Andrei Kirilenko and CSKA Moscow: Week of 12/12
Nothing new, really, on the AK front. He’s practicing with the team, but taking part in non-contact drills only. He’s also said that he won’t rush his decision about whether to return to the NBA this season (his opt-out deadline with CSKA is January 9th). I’m still hoping that he’ll stay in Russia (where he can remain in “beautiful, wild horse” mode, and where I won’t have to see him in another NBA team’s jersey so I can remain in denial).
With one week remaining in the regular season, CSKA is now the last undefeated team in Euroleague with a record of 9-0. They beat Panathinaikos 91-75 on Wednesday, and then routed Spartak Primorje 88-66 in their PBL game on Saturday.
