@okc: Opponent Game Thread Highlights
Today’s Opponent Game Thread host: Daily Thunder.
(Game threads are apparently not much of a tradition at SBNation’s Thunder blog, Loud City.)
Andrei Kirilenko is a potential Kevin Durant stopper, and we’ve been lucky are Kirilenko has been out in a lot of the games OKC has played against Utah. Kirilenko and his stupid hair are ready to go for this one though.

Is it just me or does Paul Milsap and Al Jefferson playing together seem sort of redundant. BGoth of them are back to the basket post players and kind of overlap each other. The Jazz’s offense seems to have shruck as with both of them in the paint and they do not spread the court. One of them will certainly be going sooner if not later

did u seriously say kirilenko is a durant stopper?? ru kidding? i wont even explain why thats ridiculous it should be obvious

KD historically does alright against AK, nothing spectacular though.
ricanthunder October 31st, 2010 at 16:56
Kirelenko is basically the Russian version of Durant. A tall lanky guy that can play point forward and score in various ways. Where Kevin is more of an offensive player, AK-47 is more of a defensive player. With that said, I still think KD gets 28+ and gets to the line 10+ times tonight.

Steve Smith of NBA TV just said that Kevin Durant is 7 feet tall!!! I know KD isn’t 6’9″ which NBA lists him at. I looked up his pre draft measurements, and he measured 6’9″ without shoes and 6’10.25″ with shoes. Let’s say that he has grown a bit more since he was 18 years old. So that’ll put him at 6’10.5″ with shoes right now.
Me: Steve Smith or the other NBA TV guy also said that AK was 6’11″.

Paul Milsap would fit extremly well in the thunder team.

Third ball handling turnover by KD. I wish we would let our PG’s handle the basketball. KD just is not consistent enough to have the ball in his hands like this.
andrew October 31st, 2010 at 18:01
I love KD, but he sure seems to get a lot of gift foul calls…
Zed October 31st, 2010 at 18:02
AK doing a bit of KD-stopping :\
lilrip133 October 31st, 2010 at 18:07
Man, rough half for KD. I’m sure Kirilenko has a hand in it, but most of it is KD just.. missing.
Sammy October 31st, 2010 at 18:07
This is the worst KD game I’ve seen in a while.
holdmymartian October 31st, 2010 at 18:16
This is the difference between a team with an offensive system and one with a half assed one.
justin October 31st, 2010 at 18:30
I really hate playing the Jazz because it makes our team’s lack of ball movement and offensive structure stand out like a zit.
justin October 31st, 2010 at 18:42
This looks like the old Sonics trapping defense.
Joe October 31st, 2010 at 19:02
I was thinking the same thing, with George Karl running out all kinds of funky small ball.
Bob October 31st, 2010 at 19:11
OH THANK GOD COOK IS OUT

Who is Jeff Green guarding? His defense in this game has been abysmal. Leaving Millsap wide open.
Sammy October 31st, 2010 at 19:15
andrew October 31st, 2010 at 19:15
Did Russ really just take a pull up 3 in transition? Brooks has lost the team…
Joe October 31st, 2010 at 19:16
Suck Suck Suck.
Zackery October 31st, 2010 at 19:16
WTF Westbrook??????? We have the advantage on that break. smh
Bob October 31st, 2010 at 19:17
How come are we a defensive oriented team when Jeff Green lets paul millsap always wide open? I love green as a person but as a player he is hard to like.
dream catcher October 31st, 2010 at 19:23
CJ MIles would have been nice on this team……
thunderfan October 31st, 2010 at 19:22
listening to some of you guys is exhausting…
