Stockton-to-Malone Week: Caricatures
Days from now, Karl Malone will join John Stockton and Jerry Sloan in the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. Let’s fete and honor the greatest duo in NBA history with Stockton-to-Malone Week. S2M Week is brought to you by my digital pack ratting, est. circa 1995.
Left: As C once pointed out, for some reason the artist put old Malone’s face (shaved head) on young Malone’s body (Jazz note uniform). :-p
Center: I think (but am not very sure) that I cut this out from a “Sporting News” in the early 90s.
Right: I was vacationing with my family in Singapore sophomore year of high school when I found this shirt in some random department store. This was, far and away, my prize purchase (never mind that it was only available in XXL and two of me could fit in it with room to spare).
