In Today’s Edition of “Who Dressed Him?!”: Rajon Rondo, it’s time to step away from the Louis Vuitton
I’m telling you this because I like you, Rajon Rondo. It’s time to step away from the Louis Vuitton. There are better ways to spend your money than buying everything your local neighborhood Louis Vuitton store has to offer. I don’t have to tell you that you’re still on your rookie contract. Bankrupt NBA players aren’t just some urban legend.
Rajon Rondo can’t leave home without his trusty Louis Vuitton “toiletry bag” aka man purse (list price: $550-$600)…
While this hardly sets him apart from his NBA brethren (as we shall see in a subsequent post), he’s the only player I’ve seen sporting these horrid LV jackets (which he just had to get in every color available).
(Rajon, stop pouting. I wasn’t implying that those are the only LV jackets you own.) He was also recently photographed wearing this LV baseball jacket, as also seen on P. Diddy and [Masha Kirilenko musical collaborator] Flo Rida (list price: US$2,000+, according to an eBay listing for the jacket):
It bears mentioning that back in 2008 when Rondo only had about $3 million to his name (as opposed to the cool $6 million he has now), he was certainly much lower down on the brand-loving totem pole. Here he is in 2008 sans LV (according to my friend who knows about this sort of thing, his old, cheapie man purse is likely Bally):
Update July 14: This house was recently featured at apartment therapy. I’m guessing it belongs to Rondo.
