Odds and Ends from My Head
1. You’d be hard-pressed to find a player on the court (not just the Jazz’s court, but any NBA court) that’s wearing only his uniform and shoes.
Today’s NBA players take to the court sporting knee braces, shooting sleeves, shoulder sleeves, calf sleeves, elbow braces, tights, undershirts, wrist braces, head bands, masks, etc. I’m pretty sure that in the Stockton-to-Malone era, wearing any of those were seen as a sign of weakness and unless they were absolutely necessary, S2M would not have worn them because they didn’t want their opponents knowing what/anything was hurting. On the other hand, S2M wasn’t human so I shouldn’t be comparing mere mortals against them.
2. If Jerry couldn’t win [the joke that is] the Coach of the Year Award in ’03-’04, neither can Adelman or McMillan this year. So voting members of the media with questionable intelligence, just go ahead and give it to some chump whose below-.500 team won five more games than last year and who will be long gone by this time next year.
3. Does anyone else see how much Matty and Boler look alike?
4. I really like the all-around team guy that Ronnie B is turning into. He might be in a contract year, but he’s worried more about helping the team win than getting his shots and points.

Ronnie Brewer, he gets it. I hope we get to keep him.
Karl wore compression tights. But I agree on the sleeves… though I wonder how many of them are covering up tattoos with politically incorrect messages on them, like in the NFL?
you’re right, but i guess i tend to think of compression tights as part of the uniform…doesn’t every player wear them?
Nowadays yes, back then not as much.
(Stock’s shorts were small enough to count as compressions :P)
