Preseason Game vs. POR
A Jazz official said Williams has been so dedicated to treating the ankle, he has been getting up in the middle of the night for extra sessions. His ankle was so swollen after the sprain that the toes on his left foot turned yellow.
My Jazz and DWill fanaticism is not undeserved. Desire and Will. DWill.
Game notes:
Boozer had 5 TOs, bringing his total for the last two games to 13.
The Jazz’ D was horrid. Jerry is “dismayed,” as he should be.
How did I not notice Gheorge Muresan was back in the league?
Apart from normal rookie problems (i.e. fouls), the rookie played pretty well. Of course, he still has a ways to go. As does CJ.
Knight played like the dependable vet that he is, and Ronnie B did what he does best (although again he logged 0 boards). AK and Memo stunk it up. Let’s hope KK can consistently deliver, shooting-wise.
Heal Larry heal.
Heal DWill faster.

Update: Williams (ankle) said he is targeting a return to action next Wednesday against Portland, the Deseret News reports.
Recommendation: Williams sat out Utah’s season opener on Wednesday and is listed as doubtful for Saturday. “I’d like to get back as soon as possible,” Williams said after Wednesday’s morning shootaround. “But the Portland game probably looks the most… feasible.” That means Ronnie Price will start at point guard for two more games.
