Round 1, Game 1 Recap
Contrary to what Yahoo! would have you believe, Boozer was not responsible for the win.
Stats DO lie. Boozer’s game always looks better in box scores than they really were (hence his value as a fantasy player). He did make several key layups, but spent most of the night avoiding the paint and jacking up jumpers that did NOT go in, committing stupid, lazy fouls that put the J in the penalty, missing two dunks, and tossing up another jumper at the end of the game when the outcome was far from decided. I swear, he is in the bottom 3 of the lowest basketball IQ on the team. (His OffR were mostly attempted tip-ins, btw).
OK, no more Debbie Downer. I am obviously thrilled that the Jazz won. And I am going to do my best to take the challenge and not hate Boozer so much as long as the Jazz keep winning. Good luck to me.
